Celebrating Success

At Huckleberry School, we feel it is important to celebrate success because it develops each child’s self-esteem and increases their confidence. We also celebrate the staff’s achievements with the children, to show them that we are all still learning.

We promote our values 'Be Happy, Be Kind, Be Heard, Believe' and recognise when the children are sharing these values.

At the end of each term we have the Friendship or kindness award, which is given to 2 children who have shown they know how to be really good friend.

Within each class we use our Dojo jars. We are working towards individual rewards and also a whole class reward. We get Dojo points every time we are:

- Kind
- Working hard
- Being helpful
- Being respectful
- Completing amazing work!
- Showing determination and drive
- Sharing ideas with our friends
- Showing belief in what they can do
- Home learning including reading at home, tasks from the home learning menu or any tasks the children take upon themselves to complete

No matter how small the achievement, the recognition of it is enormous.
